Firstly select <strong>Notifications<\/strong> under the <strong>Communications<\/strong> of the Console side bar. Here you&#8217;ll have the option to create a new notification.<\/p>\n<p>To create a new notification, select <strong>create\u00a0<\/strong>and work your way through the options:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Banner<\/strong>: This is optional but if you do upload an image, ensure that it&#8217;s in landscape mode &amp; uploaded in 600&#215;100 pixels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Message<\/strong>: Enter the notification message here.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Notification Type<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Show as a pop-up:<\/strong> The notification will appear as an on screen pop-up during the &#8216;live&#8217; event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Announcement banner:<\/strong> The notification will appear as a text only banner at the top of the home page screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Push notification: <\/strong>Notifications will appear on homescreen when users are outside of the mobile app.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Email notification:<\/strong> The notification will be received as an email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SMS:\u00a0<\/strong>Notification will be received as a text message when mobile number is listed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>S<\/strong><strong>end to:\u00a0<\/strong>You have the option to send to all attendees, session attendees, selected or custom attendees &#8211; select accordingly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Re-direct URL (platform): Allows you to add an in-app (Canapii) URL. When a notification is clicked, attendee is redirected to the URL within the Canapii app.\u00a0<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Send later:\u00a0<\/strong>If you wish to schedule the notification for a later time, you can do so here.\u00a0<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the notification is scheduled to a later date\/time, the notification will send in accordance to the event time zone &amp; not the attendees set preferences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size: 1.05em;margin-top: 10px;margin-bottom: 4px\">Notification history\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Chat notifications will show up in notification history on both the mobile app and the desktop app.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">When a user <strong>receives a message<\/strong> they will receive a push notification that can also be seen on the notification page\/popup.<\/p>\n<p>When there is an <strong>unread chat<\/strong> there will be a red icon with a number next to the chat icon similar to notifications.<\/p>\n<p>When an event is live and the user has received a new message, a notification indicator will show in the homepage.
