Canapii now enables users to push out notifications directly through the platform. Firstly select Notifications<\/strong> under the Communications<\/strong> of the Console side bar. Here you’ll have the option to create a new notification.<\/p>\n

To create a new notification, select create\u00a0<\/strong>and work your way through the options:<\/p>\n

Banner<\/strong>: This is optional but if you do upload an image, ensure that it’s in landscape mode & uploaded in 600×100 pixels.<\/p>\n

Message<\/strong>: Enter the notification message here.<\/p>\n

Notification Type<\/strong><\/p>\n

Show as a pop-up:<\/strong> The notification will appear as an on screen pop-up during the ‘live’ event.<\/p>\n

Announcement banner:<\/strong> The notification will appear as a text only banner at the top of the home page screen.<\/p>\n

Push notification: <\/strong>Notifications will appear on homescreen when users are outside of the mobile app.<\/p>\n

Email notification:<\/strong> The notification will be received as an email.<\/p>\n

SMS:\u00a0<\/strong>Notification will be received as a text message when mobile number is listed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n

S<\/strong>end to:\u00a0<\/strong>You have the option to send to all attendees, session attendees, selected or custom attendees – select accordingly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n

Re-direct URL (platform): Allows you to add an in-app (Canapii) URL. When a notification is clicked, attendee is redirected to the URL within the Canapii app.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n

Send later:\u00a0<\/strong>If you wish to schedule the notification for a later time, you can do so here.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

If the notification is scheduled to a later date\/time, the notification will send in accordance to the event time zone & not the attendees set preferences.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Notification history\u00a0<\/h3>\n

Chat notifications will show up in notification history on both the mobile app and the desktop app.<\/p>\n

When a user receives a message<\/strong> they will receive a push notification that can also be seen on the notification page\/popup.<\/p>\n

When there is an unread chat<\/strong> there will be a red icon with a number next to the chat icon similar to notifications.<\/p>\n

When an event is live and the user has received a new message, a notification indicator will show in the homepage. This will only show for new messages in live events. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
