This text pairs with the banner image, so have a think about how you want to welcome attendees to your event! To edit the welcome banner text you can click <strong>edit<\/strong> (underneath <strong>general settings)<\/strong> and delete the welcome banner text or add something unique to welcome your attendees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlight &amp; secondary banners<\/strong><br \/>The highlight &amp; secondary banners are a perfect opportunity to showcase key sessions throughout an event. They can be updated in live time so that as the schedule changes, so do the highlighted sessions!<br \/>To set a highlight and\/or secondary banner select <strong>sessions<\/strong> (underneath step 2) and go in to the session that will be showcased. Here you&#8217;ll find the following two options, please select accordingly:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Set as highlight <br \/>Set as secondary banner<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Upon selecting either of the above please take note of the highlight\/secondary banner image box within the right hand side of the screen. Here you can update the session banner image and find the dimensions that it should be uploaded in.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For your highlight banner, you have the ability to change the color of the play icon under highlight banner settings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-May-09-2022-04-53-19-03-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you want a live countdown (until the live session!) to feature within the highlight banner &#8211; This can be achieved by &#8216;enabling&#8217; the Live session countdown toggle.\u00a0<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Jun-01-2022-04-03-34-47-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Under session settings, you can also manage the audio for your highlight banner video.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Oct-20-2023-03-42-16-2933-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For your secondary banner, you are able to upload a banner image (1920&#215;175), and click &#8216;show full image&#8217; if you want the full size to appear. Otherwise, default secondary banner size will be followed and used as background image.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Jan-18-2023-06-08-54-5074-AM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All your highlighted and secondary banner sessions will appear be listed under the Highlight banners and Secondary banners section in Session page respectively.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Nov-02-2023-03-21-26-6822-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To remove highlighted sessions, simply go back into the session and select remove highlight or remove secondary banner. This will automatically remove the showcased session.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background: #eef4ff;border-left: 4px solid #3b82f6;padding: 12px 16px;margin: 16px 0;border-radius: 4px\"><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The default banner only appears on the homepage when there is NOT a highlighted session. However, when a session is &#8216;highlighted&#8217; this will replace the default banner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"background: #f0fdf4;border-left: 4px solid #22c55e;padding: 12px 16px;margin: 16px 0;border-radius: 4px\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If multiple sessions are set to a highlight or secondary banner, they&#8217;ll appear as a rotating loop on the front end. To ensure that your users aren&#8217;t waiting for the loop to start from the beginning, we suggest that up to 3 showcased sessions is perfect &amp; with a maximum of 5 if required.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Default bannerUsers are able to upload a default banner image (within the branding area of general settings).
