Here are the different ways you can create a speaker profile:<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 1em;margin-top: 8px;margin-bottom: 4px\"><strong>OPTION 1: Convert an Attendee into a Speaker<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>If your speaker is already registered as an attendee, you can easily turn their attendee profile into a speaker profile. Here are two ways to do it:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><br \/>Via the Attendees Tab<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Go to the <strong>People<\/strong> tab and click <strong>Attendees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Find and open the attendee profile of your speaker.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Make a Speaker<\/strong> at the top of their profile.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Jun-23-2025-12-33-04-5030-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A pop-up will appear. Here, you can add additional details like the bio and speaker type.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Via the Speakers Tab<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Go to the <strong>Content<\/strong> tab and click <strong>Speakers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Create<\/strong>, then click <strong>Select<\/strong> to choose from your list of registered attendees.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Jun-23-2025-12-36-16-9417-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select the attendee\u2019s name. A pop-up will appear, allowing you to add more speaker details (bio, speaker type, etc.).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"background: #f0fdf4;border-left: 4px solid #22c55e;padding: 12px 16px;margin: 16px 0;border-radius: 4px\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When a speaker profile is created from a linked attendee account, the speaker\u2019s name, profile photo, job title, and company will automatically be pulled from their attendee profile.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 1em;margin-top: 8px;margin-bottom: 4px\"><strong>OPTION 2: Create a Speaker Profile Manually<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span>Go to the <strong>Content<\/strong> tab and click <strong>Speakers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Create<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;color: var(--trellis-color-text-core-default,#33475b);font-weight: var(--trellis-typography-body-100-font-weight,300)\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Fill in the fields manually:<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li>Name<\/li>\n<li>Job Title<\/li>\n<li>Company<\/li>\n<li>Company URL<\/li>\n<li>Email Address<\/li>\n<li>Headline<\/li>\n<li>Bio: This field supports markdown formatting and can be used to introduce your speaker, share their background, outline their presentation topics, or include any other details you\u2019d like attendees to know.<\/li>\n<li>Type of speaker: This enables you to categorize or tier your speakers. For example, you could have day 1, day 2 &amp; day 3 speakers. Within each speaker&#8217;s profile, please ensure that the &#8216;<strong>Type<\/strong>&#8216; is spelt accurately and that letters are accurately capitalized for all. If this isn&#8217;t done correctly, the system won&#8217;t recognize them as being the same.<\/li>\n<li>Status: Make sure to set the speaker profile to <strong>Active<\/strong>. Inactive profiles won\u2019t be visible to attendees.<\/li>\n<li>Show sessions on speaker page: If the speaker is associated with particular sessions, you have the option to either show or hide the sessions from their page.<\/li>\n<li>Show in speakers page: Set to Yes if you want the speaker\u2019s profile to appear on the event\u2019s dedicated Speakers page.<\/li>\n<li>Show in sponsor page: If the speaker is linked to a sponsor, choose Yes to display their profile within the sponsor&#8217;s zone. An event admin or sponsor admin can go to their sponsor zone and click the Speakers tab at the bottom of the page to add the speaker profile to their sponsor zone.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>You can also add a speaker\u2019s social media links for X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn by pasting the URL into the appropriate field. Once added, clickable icons will appear on their profile, allowing attendees to easily connect and learn more about them.<\/li>\n<li>Select photo: Upload the speaker&#8217;s photo in JPG or PNG format.<\/li>\n<li>Target attendees: Organizers can target individual speakers so that they are only seen by certain attendees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>4. Complete all of the fields and select Save.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a id=\"link-speaker\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size: 1.05em;margin-top: 10px;margin-bottom: 4px\"><strong>Link the Speaker to Their Session(s)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You may want to add a speaker\u2019s associated sessions to their profile so attendees can see what they\u2019ll be presenting. There are two ways to assign a speaker to a session:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><br \/>From the Session Details Page<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>After creating the session, open the session details<strong> <\/strong>and scroll down to the bottom.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Speakers<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <strong>Add Speaker<\/strong> and select the speaker from the list.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Jun-23-2025-01-10-39-2350-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"background: #f0fdf4;border-left: 4px solid #22c55e;padding: 12px 16px;margin: 16px 0;border-radius: 4px\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Make sure that the &#8216;Show in session page&#8217; box is checked. This links their profile to the session AND displays a preview on both the session and the speaker\u2019s page.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><br \/>From the Speaker Profile<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Go to the <strong>Content<\/strong> tab and click <strong>Speakers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Open the speaker\u2019s profile.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Scroll down to the <strong>Sessions<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Add Session<\/strong> and select the relevant session\/s.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a id=\"important-settings\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size: 1.05em;margin-top: 10px;margin-bottom: 4px\"><strong>Important Settings to Update<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Click <strong>Page settings<\/strong> to open the edit modal. Here, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Add or edit a <strong>banner<\/strong>, <strong>heading<\/strong>, and <strong>description<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enabling the <strong>display speaker types<\/strong> toggle allows you to sort your speakers by their type. The speaker list is sorted by how they are placed on the list.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Aug-17-2022-09-01-51-46-AM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If your event has many speakers, your attendees can use <strong>display<\/strong> <strong>filters<\/strong> on the dedicated speakers page (i.e., Company, Country, Language) to browse profiles, read bios, and learn more about each speaker.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Apr-11-2022-10-40-26-04-AM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<p>You can also customize your <strong>speakers&#8217; layout<\/strong> on the dedicated Speakers page. Favorited speakers will appear under your \u201cFavorites\u201d section.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a id=\"exporting-speakers\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size: 1.05em;margin-top: 10px;margin-bottom: 4px\"><strong>Exporting the Speakers List<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Organizers are able to export the speakers information.
