To enable this, click <strong>Allow<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>At the start of every call, a <strong>readiness checker<\/strong> will appear on screen. Here you can select the appropriate microphone, speaker and camera (you are also able to select the quality of your webcam). You&#8217;ll also find the options to add a background filter &amp; upload your business&#8217;s logo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Once your microphone, speaker and camera settings have been selected, we suggest that you double-check to ensure that your choices are working with the <em>preview checker<\/em>.\u00a0<br \/>The preview checker enables you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check your microphone is picking you up by speaking and watching the bar under &#8220;preview&#8221; move as you talk.<\/li>\n<li>Check that the correct camera is connected<\/li>\n<li>Check the correct speaker is connected by clicking \u2018test\u2019 and listening out for the test sound.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When everything looks good, click <strong>Join<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"article-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.knowledge-base.canapii.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-png-Mar-24-2022-02-42-52-92-PM.png\" style=\"max-width: 100%;height: auto\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size: 1.05em;margin-top: 10px;margin-bottom: 4px\">Troubleshooting<\/h3>\n<p>If you are having issues hearing or speaking on a call double-check the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is any other program using your mic? Check if you have another call open or the settings in Zoom\/Teams that could be using your mic.<\/li>\n<li>Checking camera and microphone permissions in Chrome:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li>At the top right, click <strong>More<\/strong> and then <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Under &#8220;Privacy and security,&#8221; click <strong>Site setting<\/strong>s.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Camera<\/strong> or <strong>Microphone<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on or off <strong>Ask before accessing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Review your blocked and allowed sites and make sure both camera and microphone is allowed to be used by Canapii.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"background: #f0fdf4;border-left: 4px solid #22c55e;padding: 12px 16px;margin: 16px 0;border-radius: 4px\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Make sure to avoid having a bright light source such as a window behind you!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When joining your first call, you will be prompted to give Canapii permission to access your microphone and camera to be able to speak\/hear other attendees.
